TOSHIBA’S BACK WITH UHD 4K PRO THEATRE RANGE
After a spell of absence in Australia, Toshiba successfully re-entered the market late last year with a range of TVs sold through Harvey Norman.
But the best was yet to come and today Toshiba has announced two new Pro Theatre ranges – the U77 LED LCD Ultra High Definition 4K Google Android Smart range, plus the L37 LED LCD Full High Definition Series.
The Toshiba Pro Theatre U77 range of televisions feature the Ultra High Definition CEVO 4K engine, which they say delivers the ultimate in picture quality.
New technologies including Colour Re-master Pro system which is said to restore colour of the image as it was intended, has been incorporated. Adding to that is the Super Contrast Booster, which emphasises and maximises the depth of colour, and Smart Noise Reduction, reducing TV picture noise through a 3D Noise filter and MPEG Noise Reduction.
Toshiba’s U77 range employs Google’s Android TV platform with Chromecast built-in. Chromecast delivers a world of content, apps and games directly to your living room.
The U77 range also has a Front Power Speaker, which they say maximises the sound experience and provides a more dynamic and clear sound, as well as utilising DTS TruSurround and Dolby Digital Plus to complete the audio experience.
The U77 range includes two models including the 49” 49U7750 ($1,299 RRP) and 55” 55U7750 ($1,699 RRP). Further, a 65” 65U7750 will also be available from July with pricing still to be confirmed.
Complimenting the U77 line-up is the L37 range with a long list of features including the high-performance CEVO engine, which reproduces a deeper image with greater detail and colour.
The L37 range also features Picture optimizer which supports the best image parameters “allowing your visual experience to reach new heights”. Finally, there is Auto View which provides the perfect light balance, as well as USB playback and recording capabilities.
The initial L37 range includes the 32” 32L3750 ($449 RRP) and the 40” 40L3750 ($599 RRP). More models are said to be released later in 2017.
Toshiba’s Pro Theatre range will be available exclusively from Harvey Norman, Domain and Joyce Mayne. More retail partners will be announced soon.
