SENNHEISER JUST MADE IT PERSONAL
If you’re not willing to compromise when it comes to TV sound and a bulky Soundbar is out of the question, then Sennheiser's Flex 5000 might be just the ticket.
Or maybe you want to make your TV listening personal? Sennheiser has developed a digital wireless audio system for headphones that they say, “intensifies TV sound without compromises”.
Irene Strüber, Head of Portfolio Management Audiology at Sennheiser describes this product as:
Flex 5000 is aimed at people who are too experienced to accept bad sound and want a personalized solution that ensures their continued full enjoyment of the TV experience. Flex 5000 offers an innovative and refreshing solution that combines outstanding sound performance, durable, high-quality design and timeless style.
With three different hearing profiles to choose from, the listener can tailor the sound specifically to their preference. Whether it be TV, movies or music, or just adjusting the volume, the Flex 5000 also features a unique Speech Intelligibility button that dynamically reduces TV background noise for crystal clear dialog, making speech easier to understand at a touch.
Supplied with Sennheiser’s MX 475 in-ear headphones, you can also plugin any preferred wired headphones.
The Flex 5000 features a sleek, attractive base station, with high-end design that lets it fit discretely under a TV or be part of a home entertainment system. Simply plug the Optical output from your TV into the base unit, or a 3.5mm stereo cable. Then, plug your headphones into the dongle. Using digital wireless technology like the Sennheiser RS range, it features a 30m range with battery life reported to be up to 12 hours between charges.
The Sennheiser Flex 5000 will be available in April for $349.95 RRP.
